What the network marketing industry needs…
… and how we can provide it, working together
There is one horrible, ugly, repulsive, repressive, defeating factor keeping every network marketer from fulfilling their true potential. This one factor, if reversed, could cause network marketing / MLM to become the most popular career in the world. What is this factor? It’s involves network marketing distributors attacking other distributors within the same MLM industry. It involves the backbiting, betrayal, and slandering of each other. You see, network marketing / mlm is a word-of-mouth industry. Distributors rely on person-to-person promotion to share the benefits of a new MLM product or service or to tell someone about a new network marketing business venture.
However, when network marketers run into the competition, something snaps and they forget who they are. Instead of realizing there is room for everyone at the top and that we would all do better working together and supporting one another even though we’re in different MLM companies, distributors would rather spread unsubstantiated rumors about the competition’s product or business to try to make their own deal look better. Multiply this by all of the good people involved in this word-of-mouth business and you have a bad news machine cranking out dirty laundry at mass volume. No wonder network marketing has a bad rap. Network marketers are responsible for nurturing this myth.
Uniting Network Marketers for Fun and Profit
Can you imagine how successful all network marketers would be if we could just learn to support each other in the industry instead of tearing each other down? Network marketers (and everyone else) simply need education so they can develop the wisdom to understand the difference between legitimate business opportunities and scams. They need to learn that distributors in other legitimate companies are just like them. They need to learn to love network marketing as much as they love their own product and company.
One of the missions of www.networkmarketingreview.com is to unite the ethical and legitimate network marketing companies through their distributors and truly share the story of network marketing through the good people of this industry. The information and communications at this website will prove to its readers specifically why network marketing is the greatest home-based business strategy in the world. Through uniting as an industry, MLM can become one of the most powerful forces for good on the planet.
Let me know what you feel about these ideas, and keep the commentary coming.

Daren,
I like your site because you provide straight forward advice without a million links spinning us off in another direction. Whenever someone is looking at joining a new venture I always recommend your book. Its surprising how many people have never heard of it or this site.
One of the problems with the industry is that many of the leaders don’t know how to lead and rely on the same formula that bring about failure. A true leader shows loyalty and integrity for both the company they work for and the people they represent. If a leader hops from one organization to another one is left to believe that the efficacy of their words lacks meaning.
To often the person who joins an organization is left to motivational phone calls to get members to join and not the mechanics of running their own business.
The best motivation is results through targeted action. Many times to much information leads to inaction on the part of the participant.
One other thing that I have noticed is that MLMs don’t have strategic plans to implement market penetration in
our home cities. For example: if you wanted to join a particular MLM in a major city the home office of most of the MLMs are unable to direct you into a group that is profitable in your home market. The MLM industry is fun albeit not without its pitfalls.
My motto is that I would much rather have a happy customer, client or partner who I don’t make any money from then an angry person who resents having met me. An industry with a high failure rate sends out negative signals to everyone.
Thats where your book comes in. It allows someone to pick a company not the other way around. If you buy into a travel company understand the travel industry and the market forces at play. If you want to sell nutritional aids understand nutrition and live a healthy life style.
Understanding the push pull factors in any market is key to your success. Following through and understanding the mechanics of marketing will help propel you forward. Having a good leader who is concerned with your well being is the key to getting results.
